How to maintain cheongsam?

Nowadaysmost cheongsam women wear are made of brocade, which can't bewashed with water, nor can it be washed by washing mechine.You'd better send it to the special laundry.

Becareful when you wear it. Don't let oil, coka or lipstick stainyour clothes, for it's difficult to clean such substance andeven the laundry can't clean it completely. Don't wear the samecheongsam for several days. Be careful of the sharp-pointedobjects so as not to make hole or hook silk out of thecheongsam. Don't roll the sleeves up for convenience. If yousmear your new cheongsam carelessly, you can iron the stain witha wet cloth under it. The dust will cling to the cloth and inthis way the cheongsam can not only be cleaned but also ironed.

Cheongsam should be hung up with a wide hanger if you don'twear it. Make sure that the shoulders should be proped upproperly. Before putting it into the wardrobe, remember putmoth-resistant pills. But the camphor balls, which will make thebleached light-colored silk clothes become yellow, shouldn't beapplied.

* The maintenance of the Fabric and clothes

-1.The maintenance of the clothes made of synthetic fiber and blending fabric

First, wash it in plain water. Then use the weak basic detergent with the water temperature under 40 degree centigrade. Dry it by hands gently instead of using washing machine. Straighten the clothes and hang it in cool and well-ventilated places. Don't expose it in the sun. The ironing temperature should not be high ( the Fabric containing chlorofibre: under 70 degree centigrade; the Fabric containing acrylicfibre: under 100 degree centigrade.) If it is a bright-colored fabric, the ironing temperature should be lowered moderately. Don't use much force when ironing the clothes and keep the electric iron moving constantly. Pad is needed to prevent the fabric from softening.( The Fabric containing vinylon can't be ironed with water) Store it after drying and cooling.

-2. The maintenance of the clothes made of silk

Wash the Fabric and clothes made of silk with neutral detergent. Wash it gently by hand instead of using the washing machine. Dry it in the cool places. Never expose it in the sun.When the clothes are dried practically, iron it with a white cloth pad. The ironing temperature can be a little high but don't squirt water on it in case that watermark will be left. Dry it before you store it.Don't put moth-ball in the light-colored bleached fabric for fear that it will make the fabric yellow.

-3. The maintenance of the clothes made of the cotton

After Washing the clothes with the weak basic detergent, rinse it in plain water. Don't brush it forcefully in case that it will pill. Don't expose it in the sun too long. The ironing temperature should not be high. You'd better put a white cloth pad on the clothes when ironing. Store it after drying and cooling.

-4.The maintenance of the clothes made of Wool fabric

Wash it with neutral detergent in the lukewarm water. Don't soak it in the boiling water. Wash it by hands gently. Then dry it in the well-ventilated places. Put a wet pad under when ironing. The Fabric containing chemical fiber shouldn't be high-temperature ironed or ironed repeatedly. When you store it, please keep it dry and moth proof it. You'd better hang it up.

* Some cheongsam are made of the combination of two Fabrics

The customers only need to pay for the main Fabric. If the customer can't decide which two Fabrics to combine, please choose the main Fabric. We will advise you how to match the Fabrics through e-mail.

How to choose the cheongsam's tightness?

In the custom-made order form, there is a menu for tightness

If the customer choose "close-fitting", the three measurements (bust, waist andhip measurement) of cheongsam will be 6-7cm, 3-4cm, 3-4cm larger than the three measurements of the customer.

If the customer choose "standard", the three measurements (bust, waist and hipmeasurement) of cheongsam will be 7-8cm, 4-5cm, 4-5cm larger than the three measurements of the customer.

If the customer choose "loose", the three measurements (bust,waist and hip measurement) of cheongsam will be 8-9cm, 5-6cm,4-5cm larger than the three measurements of the customer. If thecustomer want to wear clothes inside, please choose loose one.
